Start your first project

1. Create a project with a name you will recognize. Client name and notes are optional.
2. Add a photo pair and take or import the Before photo. Use a separate pair for each area.
3. When the work is done, open the same pair and add the After. Adjust the reference overlay’s opacity and manually line up a similar angle.
4. Review the capture and use the photo when you are satisfied. Retake or replace it with a photo from your library when needed.
5. Select completed pairs, export JPG comparisons or a PDF, then choose a destination in the system share sheet.

Capture and import

The reference overlay is a manual framing aid. It does not move the camera or correct perspective automatically. Try to keep the distance, angle, and lighting consistent. The app does not retouch your photos to manufacture a change.

If camera access is denied, open iPhone Settings → ResultCam and allow Camera access, or continue using the system photo picker. If the camera becomes unavailable or the app goes into the background, return to the app and reopen capture.

Export images and PDFs

After adding both Before and After photos, select up to 20 pairs to export together. JPG comparisons support horizontal, vertical, and square layouts with full-frame fitting, at up to 2400 pixels on the longest edge. PDF export puts the selected pairs into a multipage document. Add your business name as text and choose whether to show photo-added dates and notes. Dates refer to when a photo was added to the app, not a certified original capture time. Review the result before choosing where to share it.

Project notes stay private inside the app and are not exported. Photo-pair notes can be included in exports or turned off. Opening the share sheet does not mean a file has been sent or saved. Finish the action in the destination you select. ResultCam does not automatically post on social media or message your clients.

Free projects and lifetime unlock

You can save 2 non-sample projects for free, including projects in Trash. The built-in sample does not count. At the limit, permanently delete a project you no longer need to free a slot, or make a one-time purchase to unlock more saved projects. Viewing, recovering, and exporting existing work stay available.

The local-currency price displayed by Apple in the app applies. There is no auto-renewing subscription. On another device, use Restore Purchases with the same Apple purchase account. If you are offline or a purchase is unfinished, try again later. For refunds or billing help, use Apple’s purchase support.

Trash, backup, and moving to a new iPhone

Check Trash after an accidental deletion. Permanent deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone through Trash. Full backups include photos, project information, and Trash. Restore merges records and keeps conflicting versions separately, without overwriting existing projects. Backup size depends on the number and size of your original photos. Export and restore require sufficient local storage; the app checks available space first and tells you when there is not enough.

Save your backup outside the app in Files or a trusted storage service, then confirm it exists. JPGs and PDFs are presentation exports, not a restorable full backup. Make a backup before uninstalling the app.

Language and appearance

The app supports English and Simplified Chinese. Language / 语言 in the app’s settings opens its iPhone settings. If the language option is not visible, first add another supported language under Settings → General → Language & Region. Light and dark appearances are supported.

Something went wrong?

If loading, importing, or exporting fails, preserve the files you have, check free storage, and follow the on-screen retry guidance. Do not uninstall the app as a troubleshooting step before saving a backup.
