1. Information we collect
EasyRuler does not collect or transmit personal data to us. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not receive your measurements, calibration values, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or usage history.
2. Information stored on your device
EasyRuler stores only the settings needed to provide the ruler: your calibration factor and its reference screen density, a local screen fingerprint used to detect incompatible changes, and your selected ruler mode. These values stay in the app’s local preferences and are not uploaded to us.
Cursor positions and live measurements are used only while the app is running and are not saved as a measurement history.
3. Screen information
The app reads screen characteristics available on the device, such as scale and pixel dimensions, and uses a bundled device-density table to convert screen points into physical units. This processing happens entirely on the device. The screen fingerprint is used only to keep calibration valid and is never transmitted or used for tracking.
4. Purchase processing
EasyRuler is purchased and downloaded through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the transaction under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
5. Network access and external links
The ruler and calibration features work offline and do not make network requests. The About screen contains support-email and privacy-policy links. A network connection or mail service is used only after you choose one of those links, and the selected external service applies its own privacy terms.
6. Device backups and deletion
Your operating system may include local preferences in a device backup or restore process that you control. Deleting EasyRuler removes its local settings from that device, subject to backups you control. We operate no EasyRuler account or server-side measurement record to delete.
7. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal data because EasyRuler does not collect it.
8. Children’s privacy
EasyRuler does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
